The genesis of Rubric was the conversations, presentations, and insights accumulated over many years on the challenges of practicing as a business analyst. The corner stones of Rubric are passion, community and legacy amongst those practicing or engaged in business analysis.

Our fundamental belief is business analysts are characterised by exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills, strong ethical and moral values and deep empathy for people. This belief is based on observation that outputs generated by business analysts critical to informing decisions, direction and design of the work require significant individual effort, however often not accompanied with adequate supports to provide psychological safety, practical advice and support, and interest in nurturing the growth of the individuals' practice.
